As I wandered the beautiful corridor at Ekambareshwar temple in Kancheepuram, I spotted quite a few sculptures which were being given a new coat, a new lease of life. Even though this was something to be happy about, i saw that some were losing their identity and originality.

nice capture, aarti! and so true… these days when i go to a temple, its hard to be happy when i see all the changes…..wish they would either leave them alone or go the proper way and maintain them as they should be!
Thats looking sad….oh dear, cant they do it in a better way ???
