Last Saturday, I ticked off an item from my “I would love to visit as I keep driving past it” list. Yes, I’ve gone past the gates of Sunny’s world numerous times, and seen the tops of the white tent from home, but thanks to the Sundowner launch event, I got the opportunity to visit and experience it.
True to their name, the place offers a wide range of Beverages [ alcoholic and non-alcoholic], Barbecue, Grills, Sizzlers & Desserts.
It offers a sensational view.
Beautiful ambiance
Quiet [apart from the sounds coming from within the property]
Good food & drinks
Courteous Staff.
What more can one ask for? Well, here’s the gist of all that we had…
The evening began with a Kokum based sharbat, followed by white & red wine Sangria, and then there was Beer, Cocktails and mocktails as well. They have a preset menu, which in itself is quite extensive- doing full justice both vegetarians and non vegetarians.
Some of the veg dishes that came from the grills/bbq section were:
#southern_Spice-Lotusstem – Loved it, the crunch & the flavours. #musthave
#Sweet_Crispy_Mushroom – These had the right amount of sweetness in them
#Turkish_Broccoli – A favourite of mine #musthave [though I am clueless what was the Turkish element in this dish]
#Cheese_Chaap_Malai_Kebab – was good, but for me it was too much cheese
Moving on to the mains:
#SriLankan_Kuttu_Sizzler(Paneer) – This was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Having been to Srilanka, I was familiar with their spices and flavours. The kuttu parotta was spot on, so was the onions and beetroot. The only thing that felt out of place was the paneer gravy. They also had a chicken version of this.
Unfortunately, I had to leave and so missed the desserts. Going by the photographs shared by others, they all looked delectable.
