There’s a certain magic that comes with a solo trip. It’s not just about seeing new places; it’s about seeing yourself in a new light. It’s about finding out what you’re truly capable of when you’re the only one in charge of your journey. Over the years, my own solo travels across India have been my greatest teachers. They’ve taught me resilience, flexibility, and a deep appreciation for the diverse tapestry of our incredible country.

And now, I’m taking all those lessons, all those lived experiences, and turning them into something I’m truly passionate about: helping you craft your perfect Indian adventure.

The Spark: A Decade of Discovery

My journey as a solo traveler began out of a simple desire for independence. I wanted to see the places I dreamed of, on my own terms. My first trip was a mix of exhilarating freedom and a little bit of anxiety. I learned to navigate bustling railway stations, haggle with auto-rickshaw drivers, and find hidden gems in crowded markets. I learned to trust my intuition and to embrace the unexpected.

Each trip was a new chapter. I have travelled through the majestic mountains of Himachal Pradesh, found serenity on the backwaters of Kerala, soaked in the vibrant colors of Rajasthan, and delved into the rich history of Odisha. I’ve stayed in bustling hostels where I met fellow travelers from all over the world, and in quiet homestays where I was welcomed like family.

I’ve made mistakes, learned from them, and discovered the best ways to travel safely, efficiently, and on a budget in this vast country. I’ve learned which train classes are best for long-distance travel, how to find the most authentic local food, and the importance of having a backup plan.

Beyond the Guidebook: The Power of Personal Experience

The internet is flooded with travel blogs and generic itineraries, and while they can be a good starting point, they often lack the personal touch and practical insights that make a trip truly memorable. This is where I come in.

I’m not a travel agent selling you a pre-packaged tour. I’m a traveller, just like you, who has walked the paths you’re considering. I know the feeling of getting off a night bus at 4 AM in a new city, and I can tell you the best way to get to your hostel from there. I can recommend a cafe with the best view for your morning chai, a local market where you can find unique souvenirs, and a quiet temple that isn’t on every tourist map. Thus, was born Scripted Routes

My service is built on my personal experiences and a deep understanding of what makes a solo trip in India unique. I help you:

  • Build a Realistic Itinerary: Based on your interests (adventure, culture, relaxation, or a mix of everything!), budget, and travel style, I create a day-by-day plan that is practical and enjoyable. I factor in travel time, rest days, and buffer for the unexpected.
  • Uncover Local Secrets: I share my personal recommendations for food, markets, and experiences that will give you a real taste of the local culture, far from the tourist traps.
  • Prioritize Safety: As a solo traveller, safety is paramount. I provide practical tips on everything from choosing transport to dressing appropriately and being aware of your surroundings, based on my own experiences and lessons learned.
  • Manage Your Budget: I help you create a realistic budget, offering tips on where to save and where to splurge to make your trip both affordable and fulfilling.

My Expertise, Your Adventure

I’m currently focusing on creating itineraries for places I know like the back of my hand, including:

  • The Northern Mountains: From the serene valleys of Spiti and the bustling towns of Manali and Leh, to the spiritual hubs of Rishikesh and the trails of Uttarakhand.
  • The Coastal Charms: The laid-back beaches of Goa, the stunning backwaters of Kerala, and the vibrant coastal life of Pondicherry.
  • The Royal Heritage: The palaces and forts of Rajasthan (Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur), and the rich history of Delhi and Agra.
  • The Eastern Wonders: The spiritual and historical trails of Odisha (Bhubaneswar, Puri, Konark) and the unique culture of West Bengal.

My goal is not just to give you a schedule, but to empower you with the confidence and knowledge to embrace the journey. I want you to feel that same sense of freedom and self-discovery that I found on the road.

If you’re dreaming of a solo adventure in India and feel overwhelmed by the planning, let’s connect. Let’s turn my experiences into your unforgettable journey. Because every solo trip is a story waiting to be written, and I’d be honoured to help you write yours.
